Who I Used to Be

They, the the thoughts of times past, are the holders of dust and description, as they wait for their own entry into our world.  The least of these are to be the actions of family and business and friends and of loves lost, as these continually build onto the other side of my brain.

The first side holds specific skill sets, built up over a 40-year span within this country’s corporate industry. Having built still operating, installation, rebuild, service, and maintenance companies for several critical industries, I now look towards rest and recovery of the spirit, as I believe that there is still another half to fill. Entering my 60’s, it will be time soon for that next generation to take the reins that I and others have held for so long in our now tired hands, along the dusty trails.

It is now that my penned thoughts take the first steps to replace a sword, a budget, and a gavel. I have done those things, and I believe that the Lord kept me as those this things have begun to be completed.

I now am the one to look forward towards these new days, using the rest of all that I have…. and exchange my sword of operations for a pen and paper. May there be moments of joy and reflection, accompanied by a tear or a smile, and may the words that are read here cause moments to stand still for you.

Who I Am Now

Hello and thank you for the visit here, excuse me as I lay down my sword and gavel, for this pen, these keystrokes and a mic!

Quickly, after raising two families, my children have grown, as they consistently enlighten both mine and their lives with their efforts in this world and especially with the births of new little ones to call their own. But they are my precious grandbabies. :)

Taking these first small steps aside, I grasp once buried or forgotten thoughts stored inside a business server, located on the second floor of the building I rent.  These works are the holders of dust and description, just as they wait for their own entry into our world.  All the things which may have touched us to date, bring us to this moment and to this place.  So again, I thank you for this visit.

Originally educated in business and in theater, I chose the path as a proprietor of a few small shops, and until now, this has been the bulk of my professional and personal life. My described “wheelhouse” in business… circles around the development of a few separate models, or to fill an operational gap in new areas or in new and emerging markets. Meanwhile, I have dabbled, the arts all throw-out my life. I come from a family, with generations filled of business owners, farmers, adventurers, inventors, armature poets, songwriters and dreamers.

Since standing in silence, has never been my way and now having entered into my 60’s, I begin preparing new and lighter paths while looking to broaden my voice through the knowledge of others. I engage this site as a way, to develop a strong message and improve the essence of all my own thoughts, priorities and words. The love of things spoken and written has added a few new priorities, within this journey moving forward.

It is my honor and privilege to engage, deeply, into this industry and with high hopes of making a lasting mark within the literary arts, within a resounding voice of important and of forgotten things… as this path of 1,000 miles has now begun with these first small steps.

Who I Hope to Become

I will be, always, the sum of all my parts. I will be who I have not yet been and still be a better version of me than I was before. I will still make some mistakes and I will apologize or repair the errors or for that which I have not yet done.

I will bring light to the shadows, still resting into the corners of one’s mind.  All experiences, good and bad, chosen and unchosen, can be transformative. Transformative experiences are momentous, life-changing experiences that shape who we are and what we care about. By transformation, the structure the nature, and meaning of our lives and the lives of others, change us, and in the process, they reveal us to ourselves, in response to the experience. They make us who we are.

The Process

When a bad moon rises, it is but a moment called out in one’s destiny.

It is our freedom of choice that clears each path towards greatness or despair. As these are the two extremes, one could imagine that this freedom of choice could also lead towards mediocrity or a complete dissolution into nothingness and darkness. But these choices must be made of our own creation and by our own hands.

There is no matter to your current path, as they reflect but a moment in time.

Whatever your place or preference in this world, it is your given right to be free and to reject the tyranny of any government or practice of any stakeholders. So, as we live each day, we each come to realize that we owe certain things to our own selves, and we owe things to our family and to the generations that follow us, and we owe them of what is to come.

These are our whispers.
